CISCO Project of Year

The Construction Industry Service Corporation (CISCO) announced its Project of the Year award winners in December as part of its annual Pride in Construction Award Program. The program recognizes the top quality, Union construction projects in five categories, as well as three individual awards.

The recently completed Plumbers Local 130 UA Parking Garage in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood received the award for project of the year in the New Construction – Chicago (Above $20M) category.

Construction on the latest addition to the Chicago Journeyman Plumbers Local 130 campus finished in the summer of 2022. Originally a flat parking lot, the new seven-story parking structure at 1371 W Randolph Street is now a vibrant and contemporary facility providing parking for union members, in addition to housing retail space for the booming Fulton Market neighborhood. Reducing fresh water usage and stormwater outflow to sewers, this project also includes a rainwater reuse/grey water system.

EEA teamed up with OKW Architects and W.E O’Neil Construction to provide civil engineering services. Congratulations to the whole project team on this great accomplishment!
