Melanie Carollo, PE

Senior Design Engineer

Growing up with a mechanical engineer in the house inspired Melanie to explore disciplines within the field of engineering once she was ready for college. While attending Iowa State University, Melanie found a passion for civil engineering, which she views as a truly community-based form of engineering. As a proud member of the Tau Beta Pi, Melanie planned events such as “Engineering Day” at North Grand Mall. She also served as a Teaching Assistant for an engineering mechanics course and completed an engineering internship with the City of Elgin.

Melanie joined our team as a Design Engineer in the summer of 2019, shortly after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Based out of our Grayslake office, Melanie has worked on projects for Little Company of Mary Hospital, Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, and Glenview School District 34 to name a few.

Melanie enjoys listening to audio books on the way to the office. Outside of work, Melanie is a puzzle enthusiast and smashes it during game nights with her friends. When she is feeling creative, she loves to paint canvases. Melanie also enjoys getting outdoors to play sand volleyball, softball, fish, and play with her new dog, Stallone – named after her family’s favorite actor, Sylvester Stallone.
