The son of a Swedish mason, Glen was instilled with the values of hard work, honesty, integrity, and most importantly, not taking yourself too seriously. These values drove him to start EEA in 1995, and today they serve as the foundation of his leadership of civil engineering, traffic engineering, and landscape architecture staff across multiple offices in the Midwest.
Glen takes a hands-on approach with clients and upholds an “open door” policy with EEA staff. He uses his 35 years of experience leading projects across multiple market sectors to help him effectively advise design teams, consult directly with facility owners on financial considerations and evaluate project phasing and sequencing.
Glen graduated from Michigan Technology University in Houghton, Michigan. Between completing his civil engineering studies, Glen was a member of the National Ski Patrol and used any free moments in his schedule to cruise the slopes in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Placing a high value on community involvement, Glen has held many positions on elected and volunteer boards. He is a former member of the Grayslake Community High School District 127 Board of Education and is currently active in the Illinois Association of School Boards, Illinois Association of School Business Officials, and the Advocate Aurora Condell Medical Center Development Council.
Glen is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
When Glen isn’t racing down peaks and slopes in his favorite city of Breckenridge, Colorado, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and their spouses, two golden retrievers, and his granddaughter, who he hopes to get into skis as soon as she masters walking!
