By committing to using alternative energy, Noblesville Schools is creating a brighter future for staff and students.

As the civil engineering consultant contracted with Performance Services for this project, Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA) worked closely with Noblesville Schools and the City of Noblesville to coordinate site layout and landscaping design for solar installations. By working closely with the design-builder of the facilities, Performance Services, EEA was able to place the installations in locations that limited impacts on local berms, streams, and heavily wooded areas thereby reducing construction costs. With the avoidance of easement restricted areas, efficient long-term access to the facilities was provided. EEA designed landscape buffers at two of the sites that were bounded by residential areas so that they would better bit the neighborhood.

Located at White River Elementary, Promise Road Elementary, Noblesville West Middle School, and the Transportation Center, these solar panels benefit the students’ real-world and hands-on learning experience. Students can extend their classroom learning by having the opportunity to study and observe the energy use of solar panels.
