Harper Community College
Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA) has provided civil engineering, traffic engineering and landscape architecture services to Harper Community College in Palatine, Illinois.
EEA’s first project with Harper Community College consisted of a campus-wide Master Plan for future site improvements.. EEA focused on the stormwater management systems and utility infrastructure capacity during the development of the Master Plan to ensure the improvements would be functional and work efficiently for years to come.
EEA has also assisted with the renovation and expansion of Building A for the adaptive reuse of the existing Student Center/Campus Life facility. A key component of the Building A project included modernizing the public access, the building itself and surrounding sites. Additionally, wet utility infrastructure improvements were made, and stormwater challenges were also addressed.
EEA’s landscape architecture and civil engineering teams also acted as a prime consultant for the two-phase Graduation and East Campus Landscape Architecture project. The scope of the project included converting a six-acre parking lot into a fully-accessible amphitheater nestled along Lake Harper. The project was completed on time for the 2016 commencement ceremony and comfortably accommodated 3,500 seated attendees.
