Cary Village Hall and Police Station
The Cary Municipal Center is a new two-story, 21,000-square-foot facility that houses both the village hall and police station. As a sub-consultant to FGMA, Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA) provided civil engineering services for the new site, which was designed to efficiently utilize the space needed to combine a modern police station and local government building. The upper-level features a public entrance for both the village hall and police station, as well as a visitor parking lot. The site’s lower level includes the police station, locker rooms, secured rooms, and squad car parking.
EEA designed all of the utilities, parking lots and pavement elements, in addition to verifying that the existing stormwater detention had sufficient capacity to meet the needs of the site. Our team overcame significant grading challenges to ensure compliance with ADA requirements.
Construction of the Municipal Center was completed on time and
within the Village’s budget.
