National Park and Recreation Month

Kicking off National Park and Recreation month, we’d like to congratulate the Arlington Heights Park District on celebrating its 100th anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the first phase of the newly renovated Recreation Park. EEA has proudly worked on phase one of this project as a subconsultant to Hitchcock Design Group, which included civil site design services for the new playground, parking lot, pathway system, tennis courts, and a skate park; with the necessary stormwater management requirements to meet the needs of phase one, and prep for phases two and three. It’s been a pleasure to see the much-needed improvements come to life, knowing the park will be enjoyed by generations to come.
Equally exciting are the upcoming phase two and phase three projects, which added FGM Architects to the mix, providing architectural services. Phases two and three will include a replacement public pool facility and bathhouse building, parking lot and private drive improvements, new basketball courts and bathroom, ballfield improvements, ADA improvements, and stormwater management.
Congrats to the AHPD! A ribbon cutting for Recreation Park is a great way to celebrate the remarkable milestone of 100 years.
