George Dreger Retires

In April, we came together to gather and celebrate the retirement of George Dreger.  Joining EEA just two months after its inception, George has been an integral part of our firm for the last 29 years, leaving an enduring mark on our team, the projects he’s touched and the communities he’s served.

George’s journey with EEA began in 1995, when he joined us as a Project Engineer. Over the years, his expertise and dedication propelled him to the role of Principal in 2002, a testament to his remarkable contributions and leadership.

Throughout his tenure, George has fostered and managed many client relationships, and has led the civil engineering design on numerous notable projects, such as Stevenson High School, Holy Family Villa Continuing Care Retirement Community, Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, as well as Alleghany Park (Grayslake), several significant projects at Northeastern Illinois University, and Milburn School District, to name a few. His analytical mind and commitment to excellence have set a standard of quality that is second to none.

George’s passion for engineering is matched only by his diverse interests outside of work. From brewing his own beer to exploring far-off destinations with his wife Carol, George approaches life with a sense of adventure and curiosity that is truly inspiring.

As George embarks on this new chapter of his life, we extend our deepest gratitude for his years of service and wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors.  Thankfully, George will continue to consult with EEA periodically on unique technical assignments where his breadth of experience can continue to mentor others.

Please join us in congratulating George on his well-deserved retirement and in celebrating the remarkable career of a professional and friend.
