It’s hard to believe that 30 years ago today, Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. officially opened its doors, with Glen Eriksson, Mike Renner, and Kevin Camino hitting the ground running during June 1995.

From the beginning, EEA has focused on providing engineering excellence and taken pride in building long-term relationships with our clients, helping them first navigate complex civil site design, and growing into a firm providing traffic, parking, and landscape architecture services. From our humble beginnings in a small one room office in Grayslake, IL, we have flourished into a firm of over 30 employees located in multiple locations in Illinois, as well as offices in Wisconsin and Indiana.

In 30 years, the business has certainly changed and grown to meet the times. Transitioning from dial up internet, recognizing email as a form of communication, learning AutoCad on bulky desktop computers, and adding marketing to showcase an outstanding portfolio of projects. Technological advancements aside, our leadership team has truly enjoyed and appreciated the ability of our staff to learn, grow and take on more responsibilities to thrive through the industry’s many ups and downs.
