EEA’s Ben Ahring was honored to join the AIA Illinois Prairie Grassroots advocacy day where they spoke with Asst. Majority Leader Camille Lilly and other elected officials about House Resolution 0678 – a resolution to reinstate architects as “Professionals.” This classification will provide greater access to student loan funding which will enable a larger, and more diverse population of architectural students the ability to successfully complete architectural graduate degrees. Architects were recently removed from the federal list of Professionals as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act

It was a great day in Springfield, lobbying for a cause we care deeply about. Thank you to Representative Lilly and her team for signing on to HR 0678.
