4 East Elm

Completion of the much-anticipated 4 East Elm marked the return of high-end luxury residential projects to the Gold Coast neighborhood. The project, designed by SCB, includes 35 half-floor and full-floor units.

The LEED-certified building caters to urban homeowners with amenities such as an outdoor pool, spa, fitness center, lounge, movie screening room, and landscaped sun deck. Adhering to the City of Chicago requirements, Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA) engineers worked to provide stormwater detention that met the set conditions while enhancing the functionality of the building.

EEA also assisted with the geometric design and layout of the internal parking garage, in addition to acquiring the necessary permits from local City of Chicago agencies.
