Spencer was the sixth employee to join EEA in 1998. Today he serves as a Senior Project Manager, using his years of working closely with some of EEA’s largest clients to support business development activities. Spencer’s greatest skill is identifying project and construction sequencing issues associated with maintaining facility operations. This meticulous attention to detail is why healthcare and education clients request him on their projects.
With an interest in environmental issues and ecology, Spencer seeks to incorporate green engineering practices when possible. He earned his civil engineering degree from Purdue University with a concentration in environmental engineering. While there, he started the Purdue Air and Waste Management Association (PAWMA). He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Illinois, a current member of Illinois Association of Environmental Professionals, Healthcare Engineers Society of Northern Illinois (HESNI) and a Lake County Certified Individual Sewage Disposal Designer.
Spencer volunteers his time at PADS Lake County, an organization dedicated to combating homelessness. He is also involved in The Nature Conservancy, Warbirds of America, and the Canadian Aviation Historical Society. His passion for ballroom dancing led him to meet his wife, who now helps him teach ballroom and swing dance classes to other couples.
