Sarah Kinney

Design Engineer

Sarah Kinney serves as a Design Engineer at Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA), bringing a strong background in Bioproducts & Biosystems Engineering from the University of Minnesota. With a focus on Ecological & Environmental Engineering, she is committed to integrating sustainable practices into her work. Inspired by her CAD professor’s creative approach to engineering and dedication to public service, Sarah strives to make a positive impact on clients and the environment alike.

Specializing in stormwater management and hydrology, Sarah develops practical solutions to minimize runoff and optimize water resources. As an Engineer-in-Training and member of ASCE’s Environmental & Water Resources Institute, she ensures that projects meet stringent quality and environmental standards.

Beyond her professional role, Sarah actively engages in the City of Chicago’s Conservation Corps (C3) Training program, working to bring volunteer-based sustainability projects to her local community.  In her leisure time, she enjoys crafting, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and plant identification.
