Cade Fontana

Senior Design Engineer

Becoming a civil engineer has been Cade’s goal since the seventh grade. At that time, he refused to complete a 100-page poem book assignment because he argued that he would not need that skill to become a civil engineer. Although his knowledge of poetry may be limited, Cade is well on his way to achieving his professional engineer license.

Cade received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2016. He completed two internships with EEA and was hired by EEA after graduation as a Design Engineer. Earlier in his career, Cade had the opportunity to learn septic design while working alongside Habitat for Humanity in the development of residential homes.

In addition to utilizing his technical expertise as well as comedic skills to grow relationships with our clients, Cade is also a valuable resource for younger team members. Today as a Senior Design Engineer and Designated Erosion Control Inspector (DECI), Cade is responsible for overseeing all aspects of design for projects ranging from single-family homes to multi-story commercial buildings to hospitals and healthcare centers. His experience also includes coordinating designs of land development projects in the education and religious institution markets.

When Cade is not at the office, you can find him enjoying a variety of outdoor activities including kayaking, riding his motorcycle, or hiking with his German shepherd, Lyla. In the next few years, he hopes to build a home in Wisconsin and work as a Professional Engineer based out of our Milwaukee office.
