Presence Healing Arts Pavilion

The Presence Healing Arts Pavilion is located on an outlot as part of a retail development on Weber Road in Romeoville, Illinois. Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA) provided civil engineering services for the new 25,000 square foot outpatient center opened in 2016.

EEA civil engineers designed a shared entrance to the site that required close coordination with the village to provide access to an undeveloped adjacent outlot. When one of the neighboring business-owners resisted a cross-access driveway favored by the village, EEA redesigned the fire department access for the building to meet International Fire Code (IFC) requirements.

Two parking lots were designed with 104 standard parking spots and nine Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible spaces. To accommodate patients and fulfill parking requirements, the owner entered into a shared parking agreement with another adjacent business.

EEA’s project scope also included managing additional ADA requirements, grading, utility design, stormwater detention and approvals from the Village of Romeoville and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA).
