The Clare at Water Tower

Among some of the most notorious architectural feats of our time lies the Clare, the city’s first and only high-rise senior living community.

Located at Pearson and Rush Streets, The Clare offers 258 continuing care apartments above three floors of educational space—administrative offices, classrooms, and a broadcasting studio, currently used by Loyola University.

EEA worked with Perkins + Will to develop a Master Plan for the complex, offering independent living for seniors with the assurance of high-quality assisted living and healthcare services if needed.

For seamless execution of the project from start to finish, engineers at EEA additionally provided site designs; a layout for private roadways, driveways, and walkways; stormwater and wastewater collection systems; water service lines; and coordination of the permitting process.
