Josh Cap, PE

Project Manager

For Josh, civil engineering is where art and science collide. Growing up, he was always passionate about art and ceramics and took any opportunity to learn and experiment with various mediums. After observing how much Josh enjoyed working with clay in his ceramics course, his course instructor posed a question and asked if he had ever considered studying civil engineering.

Today, in his role at EEA, Josh enjoys the creative process of sculpting the earth to optimize drainage, site access, maneuverability, and ADA compliance, and revels in the satisfaction of seeing his projects come to life. Josh prides himself on his responsiveness to owners, clients, and other team members. You may even see him at one of our recruiting events!

Josh originally joined the EEA team in 2014 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After a brief exploration of public sector work, he returned to EEA in the later months of 2020. Josh is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Illinois.

In the warmer months, Josh spends his free time wakeboarding, golfing, attending concerts, and camping with friends.
