Presbyterian Homes – The Moorings of Arlington Heights

Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA) has become a trusted partner of Presbyterian Homes and has completed a portfolio of work across three of its senior living communities. EEA’s initial project at the Arlington Heights campus included adding 22 new villas to their independent living offerings. As part of the project, engineers from EEA provided designs for utility extensions, roadway reconfigurations, and an expanded stormwater detention basin. Additionally, EEA revisited and modified designs to save several specimen trees. Given the special needs of the residents, accessibility was a high priority throughout the design of each home and equal consideration was given to the sidewalks and driveways. Great care was taken during the design phase and intensive construction period to ensure resident safety and satisfaction.

Most recently, EEA engineers worked with the Presbyterian Homes team to develop a new chapel and replace the existing assisted living and memory care facilities at the Arlington Heights campus. EEA consultants also assisted the owner with coordinating the Planned Unit Development (PUD) process and replacement of site infrastructure to meet new Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC) regulations.
