OSF Little Company of Mary Hospital & MOB

EEA assisted Little Company of Mary Hospital (LCOM), now OSF, in the completion of the second phase of a five-year ongoing project. OSF LCOM wanted to demolish the existing bed tower, central energy plant and parking lot on the campus while allowing the facility to remain functional and minimizing disturbance to staff and patients. To accomplish these goals, EEA designed a new parking lot west of the current lot where the new bed tower will eventually be constructed. Following this development, the old bed tower will then be demolished and a new front entrance and drop off area for patients constructed.

Before the new tower could be built, EEA consultants relocated utilities and created a new public water main loop around the site. An underground box-culvert detention systems was designed and constructed early in the project to accommodate detention for all phases of the project. EEA is also coordinating new and temporary shipping and receiving docks, duct bank location and mechanical piping with storm, sanitary and water mains for the energy plant. Permit approval is being coordinated by EEA with several local and regional agencies.
