Eriksson Engineering Associates, Ltd. (EEA) recently provided facility assessment services for a not-for-profit health care client in southeastern Wisconsin. EEA was among the design team partners responsible for conducting an evaluation of the existing building, site, and infrastructure systems to provide information to the client as part of their due diligence on an eight-acre parcel in Milwaukee County.
The assessment focused on descriptions of the existing site components and systems, a condition assessment of those components and systems, and recommended maintenance or renovation work for consideration. EEA civil engineers were specifically responsible for assessing the condition of the parking lot, loading docks, stormwater management, water supply, wastewater management, sidewalks, and the facility’s compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standard building codes. Significant deficiencies that were found were identified and recorded as part of the assessment.
