EEA was retained by Fremont Township and their landscape architect to provide a Master Plan consultation for a proposed township park campus. The proposed Behm Homestead Park campus plan included athletic fields, a playground, concession buildings, parking lots, a trail system and access to a Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) roadway.
The roadway required EEA to carefully plan and secure all necessary permits and approvals, specifically related to the re-alignment of Peterson Road by the LCDOT. In addition, EEA’s planning process included completing an associated study detailing available alternatives for on-site wastewater treatment.
Following the master planning phase, EEA prepared construction drawings and permits, as well as provided construction monitoring services for the development of the campus. Floodplain management and wetland mitigation issues were also included in EEA’s scope of work.
Final improvements included football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball and softball fields, a playground, walking trails with fitness stations, a parking lot, roadway access and detention facilities.
