EEA was retained to provide consulting services during the due diligence, master planning and annexation process to convert farmland into a new township center and high school for Antioch/Lake Village Township. Included in the project were considerations for preserved wooded areas, which EEA connected with a walking path. Along the trail, numerous naturalized detention basins and wetland areas were included, some already present and others mitigated for best site functionality. EEA was asked to return to the site following completion of initial planning process to develop design and construction documents for all on-site improvements to address a variety of components, including:
• Stormwater management
• Water distribution
• Wastewater collection
• Wetland mitigation
Multiple bid packages were prepared to address the complex environmental permitting procedures and aggressive timeline. Following these initial projects, EEA has assisted in the design and development of the new affiliated high school campus, including their athletic facilities, parking and access.
